Helping Children Build an Inner Compass

A free weekly Saturday group where kids explore big life themes through stories, activities, and conversation, in a warm, supportive community.

How do we help children build a healthy sense of who they are in such a noisy, fast-changing world?

Every Saturday morning at Jurong Seventh-day Adventist Church, kids aged 12 and under gather in small, age-appropriate groups to explore timeless themes (such as kindness, courage, honesty, and resilience) through stories, creative activities, and guided conversations. It's a gentle, low-pressure space where children can ask questions, form friendships, and start developing an internal compass they'll carry with them into life.

This programme is part of what the church community calls Sabbath School, a long-standing tradition of Saturday morning gatherings for children. Open to the community. Free of charge. No prior background needed.

  • Who: Children aged 12 and below. Kids are grouped by age so each session is developmentally appropriate.

  • When: Every Saturday, 9:30am – 11:00am.

  • Location: Hosted by Jurong Seventh-day Adventist Church • 90 Jurong East St 13, Singapore 609648 (Google Map directions)

  • Cost: Free and open to the community.
